Is Alex Lange Better Than Jaden Hill? MLB Stats Decide

This is as close as it gets. Alex Lange and Jaden Hill split the statistical categories evenly — 2 apiece — making this one of the most genuinely contested RP comparisons in MLB history. When the numbers are this balanced, the debate comes down to which statistics matter most to you.

Alex Lange's Wins of 17 compared to Jaden Hill's 2 represents a 750% advantage — dramatically better than their counterpart in this critical category. It is the single most decisive number in this comparison and the clearest statistical argument for Alex Lange's edge.

The most competitive category in this matchup is WHIP, where Alex Lange posts 1.45 against Jaden Hill's 1.38 — a gap of just 5.1%. Jaden Hill can point to this as evidence that the overall comparison is closer than the final 2-2 tally suggests. In any debate, WHIP is the statistical ammunition for the Jaden Hill side.

Relief pitching is evaluated differently than starting pitching — ERA and saves matter most for closers, while WHIP and strikeout rate define setup men. Career totals reflect longevity in a high-stress role.

With categories split evenly, this comparison ultimately comes down to which statistics matter most to you. Alex Lange claims the tiebreaker through Wins advantage — a 750% edge — but reasonable people can, and do, argue both sides of this MLB debate.
